I grew up around people who fixed things. They measured twice, cut once, and noticed when a line was off by a hair. MIAD trained my eye to find patterns and solve them. The Marine Corps taught me to lead, decide, and finish. My foundations are craft and discipline—two threads that still pull everything forward.
Books help, but real understanding lives where the work happens. I learn on factory floors, in dealer bays, and in winter before sunrise—boots wet, notebook out. Welding arc. Diesel idle. Fresh-cut stripes, a table saw’s hum, lake-effect snow. I ask to do the job, not just hear about it. The best answers show up there long before they earn a slide.
From those experiences in the field, I make decisions, establish the felt truth in one line and prove it three ways customers can feel. I build the strategy and set guardrails so the story stays honest under pressure.
